Stirring Stills
21/02 - 29/03, 2025
A group exhibition featuring works by Christian John Munks, Giulio Noccesi, Kristoffer Bech, Ming Yuan, Naja Zethner and Zuzanna Bartoszek
(Stirring stills;) An insistence that nothing arrives all at once, but through the slow buildup of distorted attention. Each painting functions like a relief of instances, a surface where time presses itself into matter—in some, layers repeatedly build up to hold onto the residue of an event, like persisting imprints of a moment felt rather than fully seen. Others dissolve into loose gestures, smudged as if caught in motion: like the touch of fur or like noticing a graffiti tag on your building that may or may not have been there before.
