Linus Alexander Salic
Working in oil painting, Linus Salic (b. 1999) playfully explores preconceived ideas of masculinity and sensuality. Through figurative imagery and gestures drawn from personal narrative, his works form visual collages - part dream, part memory - where meaning shifts and contradicts itself.
Breaking with visual space, Salic draws parallels to comics, and the abstraction of written prose, merging the symbolic language of punctuation with iconography, to capture the disorientation that comes with navigating imposed ideas of identity.
Linus Salic is currently studying in the first-year of his BA at Funen Art Academy.
